I never stated it peaked. I have already gone on record months ago stating it will peak in the fall of 2012. That was my prediction a year ago and it still holds.

My vote is more this year than last, btw.
That's fine. You are not hurting my feelings. I have you down for more than 20% Better than 2011. Got it!

I mean, that was the narrative for most of last year.
Wasn't mine. Care to show where I said blu-ray peaked? Good luck because I never said it peaked. I said it is beginning to peak and 2012 is the peak. Go ahead and search.

Did Chip say that? I don't recall anyone saying that. Got a link?

Again show me where I said it peaked. Your the one lying. I stated a year ago and over and over that 2012 will be the year blu-ray peaks.

Your just trying to derail a thread with analog.

That's BS - it is a very valid poll and you know it.

I think he should report my poll as baiting. Then get laughed off the forums by the MODS. LOL! Because if it was baiting all of Kostys polls would have been removed.

And yet you voted in a poll you viewed as a bait?! Man how far are you going to stretch this Ack? I don't think Kostys polls are baits. My ony problem has always been his voting style. Either waiting to the last minute or not voting.

I don't see much growth for Bluray going forward.
Analysists are forecasting a small growth rate in the 2012 TBO compared to 2011. I don't believe that will translate over to OD, specifically BD versus 2011. There are some better movies (IMO) being released in 2012, but not enough of them.

Plus I see the studios doing some more "slight of hand" when it comes to when they release their 2012 Summer Movies which will influence the overall growth rate.

There are still quite a few sought after catalog titles that have yet to be released which will be released in 2012.

It's a perfect time for a poll like this. We have no data at all for 2012. So everyone is purely guessing. And maybe the True Blu Crew will be closer to the D & G'ers after seeing what happened to BD's growth in 2011.

Exactly why I created it Lee. There is a lot of heated debates on expectations. Let people put their expectations out there. I have no problem putting mine out there. And if anyone does I just see that as more proof that they don't want to have to own up to them later.

Kudos to Ack and Analogkid for actually voting.

And you guys. But I knew that none of you would have a problem putting your expectations out there. What does that tell you?
