Anyways it took awhile but youve finally realized the world today is different than it was in 1997. Its the 'kitchen sink' model because thats the market we're in. Any new format needs to be able to play on multiple devices.

In this case, it seemed to be a perfectly legitimate point since you were describing the Vudu card for Battle: Los Angeles as the wave of the future. Its kinda hilarious for you to attack a practice that you use all the time and the example that you first brought up. Its like you are attacking yourself. Priceless.

Exception to what rule. The VUDU/CINEMANOW CARDS ARE DIFFERENT SKUS.

The market has more skus than ever. Your notion that the market just now cant support multiple skus where as they were prevalent in DVDs time doesnt make a lick of sense. If anything the market was more focused on one format in DVDs time.

So why haven't they fixed it? Sony sells 3D/HD Audio AVRs.

PS3 can't do everything. So maybe a firmware update will be half-baked for UV too.

With the 3.70 update, all of the PS3 doubters have been proven wrong once again since it now does lossless audio with 3D (not that I could tell the difference, but it's there now), and proper menus, BD-Java etc.

More false premises and doubts about the PS3 from those who backed the wrong side in the format war...I'm not surprised.

You would think that people would stop betting against the PS3 when it comes to this forum:
- It can't upscale DVD!
- It can't play BonusView!
- It can't play BD Live!
- It won't play 3D!
- It can't play lossless 3D!
etc, etc, etc

The PS3 has always been a very impressive Blu-Ray player. If you are a gamer, there is not really much point in buying another BD player if you have one.

I called this a long time ago. I knew it would eventually happen but Sony wasn't able to do it initially for competitive reasons.

Nothing compared to having the nerve and audacity to charge for Netflix and other video services and online gaming. MSFT is still extremely evil, have no doubt.
