But that's with Rental included, right? Or did they not need to stoop to embarrassing goals like that?

BD530 must be new. If the BD550 is gimped, the BD530 must be comparable to this Toshiba. Oh boy...

That is incorrect. A USB memory stick also works for the Toshiba BDX1100.

Currently that one is selling or $119, but that includes a $20 instant rebate at that price (regular price $139). So it could end up being $94 or $74... either way it's a good deal for someone looking for a streaming player.
He's right. I just looked at the Costco circular for BF and it lists the Sony Player as being "$45 off" so the actual price is going to be about $90.

Which means that so far, the Toshiba deal at BB is the lowest price on a "Name Brand" BD player advertised for this Christmas season.

That is the total revenue DVD garnered. Sales + rentals. Rentals were not as big then as they are now.

But it turns out DVD players were the same price or even cheaper at the same time. Time to come up with a new excuse.

Prime example of backpedaling, or deflection. Probably both. What happened to the original point about price degradation?

Even funnier, now it turns out it was just a typo. The flipping of the flop is now complete.

What did you expect from a $50 blu-ray player? Of course it was going to be a door buster "get up at the crack of dawn" kind of thing.

Now all of a sudden, Black Friday limited stock prices become the norm? That's quote a stretch!
