Blu-ray Studio Support.
Which movie studios are supporting Blu-ray?
Each of the major studios are taking their own positions in the high-def format wars, meaning that each studio decides individually which format(s) on which to release their content.
The following studios are releasing content in the Blu-ray format:
- Buena Vista
- Disney
- Focus Features
- Fox
- Lionsgate
- MGM
- New Line Cinema
- Paramount
- Sony
- Universal
- Warner Bros
- Weinstein

When is (insert movie name here) going to be released on Blu-ray?
If it's not in the lists linked above, the movie in question likely hasn't been announced for release. You might bring it up in our Blu-ray Software General Discussion board -- you never know who's reading.
*EDIT* As most members know by now, the HD DVD format is 'dead'. Because of this, all 'major' studios are now providing content on Blu-ray... and those that are not, are scheduled to by the end of the year. If you have specific questions, please feel free to PM me and I will assist you.(Most content from this FAQ provided by Jed)
