Default iPhone version of HDD Forums

I'd like to announce the iPhone friendly version of the HDD forum is now in Beta.

On your iPhone, navigate to m.forums.highdefdigest.com and check it out. Please click here to leave any feedback.

**note: might work well on other mobile devices too. No guarantees.

I didn't try it with an iPhone as I don't use one of those, but on a PC (Firefox) and mobile devices where I tried it, there seems to be no way to navigate to sub-forums, such as imports sub-forum of Blu-ray Software forum. Those areas are just not shown. That would be a fatal usability problem for people who frequently visit those areas. I'll stick to the normal full version then

If you're not on an iPhone, I would recommend that you do stick to the full version. This version uses functions that are only available in the Apple webdev toolkit. If you try to view it in Firefox, not everything will work. Also, this isn't a "mobile version". It's a iPhone version, so we don't promise it will work on all mobile devices.

Yes, full version works fine for me on my mobiles too, but I figured this iPhone version might be a cheaper to use alternative with less packet data traffic when not on a fixed cost plan, which might sometimes be useful. So I tried it out for to see how it works for that purpose.

I tried it on PC Browsers to see if the problem was specific to mobile devices, but on every Browser (mobile and desktop) I've tried it, there seems to be no access to Sub-Forums, such as:

- BD-Live & Extras
- Blu-ray Imports Subforum
- Blu-ray Wish Lists

Those are just not found in the forum hierarchy on the mobile version. When going to Bluray Software Generai Discussion forum on the normal version of the site, those are shown there, but on the mobile version you can only see the normal threads and sticky threads but no Sub-Forums.

So I figured this problem is likely in the mobile site's design but if that access works OK on iPhone it would be understandable with this mobile site being defined as an iPhone version. Does the access to Sub-Forums work on an iPhone then?
