Personally, I thought the first 3/4 of the episode were pretty terrible. Just awful dialogue, cliched dramatic scenes, annoying characters (especially those teenage kids). It also felt like a 2-hour episode crammed into a 1-hour slot. Events moved much too quickly.

However, with all that said, it turned around pretty dramatically at the end. I liked the plot twist, and it seems to set itself up for improvement later on. Also, Morena Baccarin was terrific.

I was a little disappointed, but it has potential.

Agreed. While I did enjoy it, I wish they had took the time to develope the characters a little more. They could have easliy made this a 2-hour special and filled in some of the back story. Like someone else posted, I'm not digging Scott Wolf either. That said, I am looking forward to watching this again next week.

I agree with the 2 above posters. It was really really rushed. It jumped from their arrival to 3 weeks later with no development in between.

Also for the FBI agent to go from normal to "we need to build this resistance and spread the word!" within an hour, with little/no development getting her to that point (besides the confrontation at the warehouse).... I don't know. It's just a tough sell.

Hope the other episodes arent as insanely rushed as this episode was. Don't get me wrong I still really liked it, just hope it improves. I didn't really have a problem w/ Scott Wolf or any of the cast either.

I don't see this show lasting more than a season, unless they turn it into a Desperate Housewives style love affair drama.

V did big ratings last night. If it continues, I don't see why ABC won't fast-track the show for an earlier launch.

No matter what, those two teenagers need to be made into lizard food right quick.

I could not help but laugh when they were both standing there and the one teen was insanely tapping on the other teens shoulder saying something like "dude, look out. Here comes that girl". Like she couldn't see that from a mile away.

Another thing that bugged me was the way that they kept calling the aliens "V's". That just sounds stupid.

I always complain about how slow paced tv shows are now of days, but for once I think more mystery could have been developed and less story revealed.

I think ABC will re-air this sometime this week because of the big ratings.

The surprising political theme had me laughing/squirming a bit.
