Default Caprica

Not available on blu. Moved from wrong forum.

Very good video up converted on Samsung5000 with a very good soundtrack. The story is very weird at times to boring, but then swings to very interesting.Very far fetched and way off from the original and new BG series.I don't know if it will hold the interest as the past series did.

Obviously released on dvd as nudity sex and violence would be cut from telecast.

Big gripe:

Spoiler:
Using a child terrorist who looks far eastern , dark skinned and the dedication to the one god and suicide bombing is just plain sick especially in today's world. What were they thinking!

You do realize the entire battlestar galactica series was all about dedication to one god right? More over they've already had episodes where colonial's became suicide bombers... among many others of your gripes.

yes, but when you see a kid blow himself up and a trainload of people it is sick.Ask someone from England how they feel about it for a tv show.

Terror attacks aren't exclusive to England, they happen all over the world. Some viewers will be able to understand and process the material as it is (apparnetly most BSG fans, the people this is targeted at), others won't.

Incidents like that are practically a daily occurance in places like Sri Lanka among others. And kidnapped children have been forcefully indoctrinated into being slave soldiers and murderers for hire for decades. Where have you been?

If you can't keep up with world events, maybe you can pop in a recent movie like BLOOD DIAMOND for some perspective.

I loved the show. No complaints here except that 2010 seems like a long ways away.

I really enjoy Blood Diamond..it's just my take on that scene.I didn't rally want to start a topic on world terrorism.I guess it was so unexpected since the series is a spin off of BSG.

No more spoilers guys,I promise.

Hardly, and I've seen the entire series but no not caprica yet... But nothing you describe is unique to Caprica, it's been done before in the series. If you made it through the whole series why would you be supprised by any of what you describe? Some of what you pointed out is really just silly... You have a gripe with the series over a belief in one god? Guess what, I'm Roman Catholic, I beleive in one god

Sorry if I'm comming off as a bit short here, but when I read your list of gripes a gigantic "so....?" popped in my mind. We've seen it in the series before, and some of what you're upset about is actually a beleif held by most of the world.

You should stay on topic which is the Caprica dvd.I could tell you have not seen it because you did not discuss anything about the show/movie. You only chirped in about suicide bombers and my dislike for it. You were looking to be argumentative. That my friend is trolling. This is not the smackdown forum.Let's talk about the Show.

I was assuming people who watched the Show would respond with their takes.I am entitled to mine having seen it., and you are entitled to yours AFTER YOU SEE IT.How can you possibly have an opinion on what i posted without having seen the Show. Please move along ,watch the disc, and then give us your take.

I haven't seen it yet either. But to jump in on the terrorist angle.

What they were probably thinking is "Hey, lets make something realistic that makes a comment about the world we live in today through Sci-Fi"

That is after all what they did every single week with BSG.

Child suicide bombers are an unfortunate element of todays society and something that should have attention drawn to it.

What would you have prefered them to do?
