Seems cool, I just want a bigger storage space, I have one of the original HD-DVR receivers.
    Samsung 40" 1080p
    320GB PS3 and Samsung Blu-Ray Player
    109 Blu-Rays

    X-Box 360 with HD-DVD Attachment

Depending on how they price the units it might be a tough sell without the "new new" Tivos.

I cant really see myself wanting to spend another $250 - $300 to replace each of my HR20s.

I'm one of those who got "boned" by DirecTV's abandonment of TiVo. But I'm optimistic about the upcoming MPEG-4 DirecTiVo, because I care much more about usability and freedom from bugs than I care about the UI's appearance. (DirecTV actually inserts some bugs, such as the Channels I Get problem, on purpose. Other problems in the HR2x arise from brain-farts in the design phase.)

TiVo’s Peter Aquino seemed to be addressing only cosmetics, and possibly (lack of) access to outside media providers, when he said “Their [DirecTV's] next implementation of us is not going to have this look and feel. It's based on the classic TiVo.”

One might hope, though, that the classic TiVo interface will be presented using hi-def text and graphics.
