Mine's connected to my Elite. It's odd in that I only started collecting HD DVD's after the format was declared dead.

I sold mine the first time my 360 RROD'd. I then went and bought an A20 which I still have. I also have about 40-45 HD DVD's for it.

I bought my first add-on for $40 as a back-up for my HD-A3, as I had ~25 movies before Warner threw in the towel, and didn't want those to go to waste. I figured that I could play directly from the add-on on an HTPC, or copy to a hard drive and play that way. I then decided to sell the back-up for $35, keep the 5 free movies from the rebate, and look for a back-up standalone. A month later I bought a lot from a local, and got another add-on out of it, and still have that connected to the computer.

For better or worse, its main use has been to copy HD DVDs onto the hard drive, although you can't save many on there. I fiddled around with some not so legal stuff like converting them to 720p to try to make some fit on a DL DVD-R with no luck, so backed away from that, especially when sub-$10 discs came out (then sub-$5...) I have saved some discs onto the hard drive permanently, as my HD-A3 had a very difficult time playing some (Bourne Ultimatum, Battlestar Galactica Disc 4, Patriot Games, etc). I also tried to use it to download some online content to save, for when the studios shut these down, but I couldn't play T2 Ultimate (German) on the PC (background would play, menu wouldn't pop up), and gave up on that. The secondary use has been amusing my toddler by keeping him busy opening and closing the drive door! Makes me feel better than having him play with the LG!!!

I probably will pass this one on also, as I have an LG BH200 and an HD-A20 on the two tvs, and an HD-A3 away in a box. With no xbox 360, it is very limited to me now. But for now, it will stay attached to the PC with the 2 usb ports coming in handy.

Bought one off of eBay the other day with 5 movies. Already got a PC combo reader drive, but figured i'd want to watch them in my loungeroom or bedroom laying in bed.

Currently tracking down a second one for a back up.

I still use mine. It sits right between the PS3 and the 360. It's just much more convenient than throwing it in a closet like some step-child.

I have one hooked up to my 360 but haven't used it in months. I have a brand new one still in the box. I use my Venturer to watch all my movies on. I'm hoping to eventually pick up another stand-alone later on down the road.
