Return to Castle Wolfenstein

Hey all Return to Wolfenstein was one of my fav games back on the PS2. It was rumored for the 360 back in the early days but all info of it has since disappeared. Does anyone know if this title is still scheadulled for release? Thanks.

well this new wolfenstein game so far looks ok. It doesn't seem like a big leap in graphics from the xbox version. Im actually kinda tired of this franchise. Its becoming way more sci fi than the past games.

But since its only in screens i will reserve my judgement after i see some gameplay footage.

The new Wolfenstein will look A LOT better then the 360/PS2 version. It's also going to be open ended... so you can travel the city the way you want. It could be a major reboot.

They did have an revamped installment on PC a while ago..

Last I heard it was on track for a June '09 release from Activision with Raven Software handling the development for Id. Maybe we'll hear more about it at GDC in a few weeks.

Me too I hope it lives up to the game but we also said that about DOOM and look how that terned out. It is very rare for a video game to be made into a movie and for them to turn out good but they are fun to go too, max payne was good but it needed to be more bloody and more violent and that's what I need from this movie it has to look like castle Dracula meets castle frankenstein meets WW2 with Rambo and Indiana Jones all mixed into a blender and out comes Wolfenstein

So are we still looking at a June release for this title? I can't believe such a reputable franchise as this gets so little news.

Probably say when after E3 in June...so I'd say Julyish or Aug. So far I like how it's lookn and hopefully the gameplay with the "Veil" powers in MP will be interesting. I just hope they don't mess it up to much. The hours I spent on Beach Invasion, Destruction, and Village... on the original xbox is countless. I did manage to crack the top 1000 players back n the day.
