When playing my X Box 360 for an hour or two I get a black screen and my system just stays on. I can usually turn off the system and play for a few minutes longer before it does this again. I don't know if my X Box is overheating or what is going on. If you have any thoughts or suggestions please let me know.
I keep my X box in a well ventilated area and I have had it for 2 years now with little or no problem except for the ring of death, so I don't know what to do. Last edited by jefe71 : 07-24-2008 at 07:54 PM. Reason: Change Title |

I'd try hooking it up to another tv and see if it still does it. If it does then it's obviously the XBox and you'll need to call Microsoft. Unfortunately they will try to charge you for repair... I've heard of some people saying they had RROD when in fact they had other issues and got their system repaired/replaced with no problems.

Thanks for the help. I will try that out and see what happens.
