Why the hell did my 360 have to die last week, forcing me to buy a new one? Now I have no justification to get this one since my new one will only be a month or so old!

Well I got it at Best Buy, but if it's 10 days it's no good for me, considering that I left it at home, and I just went back to college

if it had an internal hd-dvd or if there was an hd-dvd add-on in black, i would trade my current 360 and addon in for this baby. however, since they are doing neither, i'll pass on this one.

Crap. I had this nice long response typed out and I accidentally closed the window. Here's the gist of what I was going to post:

Premium content is an easy one cause you can just re-download it.

Game Saves would have to be transfered with a memory card.

It would be nice if Microsoft would allow a one-time Arcade License transfer that would let your Arcade games play on the new Elite console like it was the original console the game was downloaded to. Otherwise, if you wanted to play the full version of an Arcade game downloaded to your old system, you would have to have a LIVE connection to unlock the full version for your profile.

doesn't best buy have a 30 day return policy? i don't think it's 10 days. if this is true, i might return my 360 to walmart because they have a 90 day return policy and i only bought it a couple of days ago to replace my bricked one. i'd wait until an official announcement comes out though

You can either copy your profile to your memory card or retrieve your account info with your .net account on the new console.

Will this newer model also have that newer chipset in it as well? Also I wonder if they will make black peripherals for the new model? remote, headset etc.

Sounds cool, i just wish they included an 'internal' HDDVD drive.oh well. I just
grabbed an Xbox 60 + the HD unit from a buddy for $350.00, so go figure.

thats a good question cause everything in my setup is god damn black right now and the 360 sticks out like a soar thumb. Would love it in black but I dunno if im gonna pay for a 360 again.

Yea everything is black. If it's going to be running cooler I would say they would be using the 65nm chipset. I mean they could make acouple hundred thousand chips just for this before they go into full production by the summer. When the new chipset will be in them regularly.

Of course all of this may or may not come to pass since I really think this is some BS April fools gag.
