Default Question about XBOX360

So i havent done much research on this but i bought a 360 back in the day when they came out.. and wondering now do they have 360's with HDMI output on them?

My tv's componant input supports 1080p but became a believer in HDMI and less cables behind the tv...

can someone answer that for me?

thanks

Yup they do. I've had one of the new systems for about 6 months now, and the HDMI looks great.

+1 on that. I upgraded to an Elite just for that. The premiums have them now as well.

They all have them now, even the 279.00 Arcade (missing a hard drive though). One word of caution. If you use hdmi for digital audio you'll be ok with any hdmi cable. But if you don't get the Elite, and you need to the optical output or analog connection you'll need to buy the MS hdmi kit as well (49.99 at most stores).

I don't know much about this piece but MadCatz makes an adapter to convert component video output to an HDMI stream, and it even carries the audio. Google it for more information. MSRP is 99.00

There are also optical-to-RCA-digital-coaxial converter boxes out there. Sweetwater.com, bswusa.com, and zzounds.com are a few good pro audio supply places. My brother uses one for 5.1 from his 360 to his non-HDMI Panasonic HTIB 5.1 receiver and it sounds fantastic. Just make sure you don't bend or kink the optical cable much at all or you'll end up losing signal. It's light, remember.
