i hate the guitar. the double and triple strums that are messing up my combos are killing me. i like playing with the stratosphere guitar b/c it's easy to transition b/t the colors and solos are easier w/o the strumming. but i'm really tempted to go back to the guitar hero controller b/c of this problem that seems to be a big problem for the guitars for a lot of people.

and I thought the wireless guitar on GHIII was initially problematic.
Hopefully somebody will post a quick fix on the net somewhere. -

are you serious? i love the gh3 guitar way better than the gh2 one. the gh2 had that weird edge at the top of the guitar that made it uncomfortable to play. i liked the rounder shape of the gh3 one/wireless compatibility and i thought everything else was the same.
what did you guys hate about the gh3 guitar?xbox/psn tag: frivolousrhyme -

Best Guitars IMO:
1.(Best) GHIII Wiresless Guitar for Xbox360
2. Rock Band Wired Guitar for Xbox360
3. (Worst) GHII Wired Guitar for Xbox360
I currently play Rock Band with the GIII Wiresless Guitar. IMO its the best of all three. -

i liked the GHII one the best. Actually, other than the rock band guitar, it's the only one i have ever used.

I just got this game and I am blown away. I have been a huge fan of GH from day one and I feel like Rock Band takes everything from GH and takes it to the next level. Rocking on Xbox Live with 3 other people is possibly one of the coolest things I have done online. The game just feels and plays better than GH.
I did not buy the Rock Band guitar since I have my GH2 and GH3 guitars. But personally I like my Les Paul. It is wireless and feels much sturdier than the Xplorer.Blu-ray - 36 + Band of Brothers

yea i bought the game a day after launch and i was very impressed. the only thing that killed it for me were hardware issues. the bass pedal didn't work at all. i was very pissed off. my replacement should be comin in anytime now. also, the guitar sucks. i didnt like the feel for it and the downstrum stopped workin on fast notes. luckily i have the 360 version with a wireless les paul and a wired xplorer. overall a mixed bag for me. if it wasnt for the hardware issues this game would kill guitar hero.

To the folks having probs - try unplugging the detachable cables and replugging them in. I had some issues with both guitars - neither were showing up as connected, and I noticed both breakaway cables - the cable part that detached when the cord is snatched hard enough ... were loose. I replugged them in and they work great.
Seriously, I have 4 guitars (X-Plorer, wireless GHIII and the Rock Band ones (2)) and I love all of them. I dunno, but give me the X-Plorer FTW ... -

There is a do it yourself fix for the downstrum problem already out there. Seems rather easy to do. You should try it out since it doesn't void your warranty and will be much faster than getting a replacement.
