'Flashdance' -- pre-release buzz
Paramount has announced another classic catalog title to hit HD DVD, this time it's 'Flashdance' on September 18:
http://hddvd.highdefdigest.com/flashdance.html Once again, it's timed to coincide with the release of a new DVD special edition re-issue of the film. No details available yet, but there should be plenty of new extras...

Sadly, I think this along with Ghost and Officer were probably cancelled because of all the catalog releases which got bad reviews (which weren't entirely warranted IMO). I think they wanted to avoid having releases get trashed by reviews in the same way.
I think this is sad because it is often the catalog releases I am most interested in, blemishes and all.
