I'm happy with the InHD & HDNet hi-def test patterns I've authored to HD DVD. But, let's see if DVE hi-def turns out be be better than the DVD counterpart, which was poorly authored, at least in terms of navigation.

It seems it has been delayed again. This time they did not give a revised release date. Amazon promised me delivery today, but I don't expect to see the familiar Amazon brown DVD box on my stoop this evening.

I just checked my Amazon status. New Delivery date is January 31, 2007! Two months from now. Something must be going on with that disc. I canceled. I will wait for the disc to be released and get it at BB. I will get it sooner that way. The six or seven "pre-orders" I have done through Amazon have resulted in me getting the "preordered" discs a week later than the release date. As I said, I can go to BB and pick it up on release day.

Well the DVD version of this was very good. I will unlikely get this until I change my display though. It is a very good calibration tool though for those willing to make the effort.

I have the SD version, but my display is 1080p DLP and I was anxiously awaiting this disc so I could play. I still plan on getting the disc; I just can't see having this in my cart at Amazon for 2 months. I will find out the release day and go to the old B&M and walk out with the disc. As much as I love Amazon, my recent experience with preorders for HD DVD has resulted in me getting them "later" (sometimes a week or more "later") than if I had gone to BB and bought them on release day.

PS: Totally off topic, but is there anyway to find out what your member number is? Like was I the 250th person to join this forum?

I don't know if that information is publicly available. You can click 'Members List', then under 'Search members', click 'Advanced Search'. Scroll to the bottom and you can scroll by 'Join Date'.

EDIT: Found it! Click you your profile, in the address bar should be a number right at the end (mine is 96) - that means I'm the 96th person that registered!

I don't think so, I have clicked on your entry several places and the number opn the right in the address place is different, depending where I click on your name.

True - but if you click on my name under the 'Members List' section, the right number should come up (not if you click on my name in one of the threads!) You should see the same number if you click on 'View Public Profile' at the beginning of a post.

Ok, I found that section. That could be correct, mine is #72 and I believe I joined one day before you.

It is interesting looking at the list, I wonder how many people probably signed up to get the Founding Member status and then disappeared. There’s quite a few with not even one post!

It's a shame the release date got put back, should offer the best picture quality yet.
