Still no date, but Weinstein/Genius continues to leak out hints...

It was an amazing movie in terms of story, acting and presentation. Ben Kingsley and Morgan Freeman were great in their roles and the story was well thought through. I recommend the movie, and am excited to get the HD DVD when it's out.

The box office was poor but the movie received a good rating for those who saw it.

my friend brought this over this past weekend and I loved it!
Granted, the SD version looked GREAT on my set. but the entire time all I could think about was "Lucy Liu in HD!"

Lucky Number Slevin release date?
This is by no means official, but definitely worth a post...
As of this afternoon, Lucky Number Slevin has moved from the saved category in my Netflix queue with unknown availability, up to my standard queue with an availability date of Jan 16th, 2007. As recently as this morning, according to Netflix, there was no release date. I can't find any official release information, but it does fall in line with the speculated time frame. BTW, for those who haven't seen it, it's very good. Much how Running Scared increased my respect for Paul Walker, Lucky Number Slevin does the same for Josh Hartnett. My lady LOVES this movie. She'll be thrilled to know it's coming to HD DVD
I liked it too, but I wasn't ga-ga over it like she is.

I saw this movie over the break, VERY GOOD, highly recommended. Great performances and the dialog is superb.
