Default 'The River' - High-Def Digest Review

Just posted Peter's review of one of Universal's latest HD DVD catalog
titles, 'The River.' He says this early '80s film is well-intentioned
and ably performed, but it doesn't quite stand the test of time.
Likewise, this HD DVD release is fairly middling. While it appears to
have been struck from a new master, there's just so much you can do
with twenty year-old materials on a second rung title like this. An
only decent sountrack and a total lack of extras don't help matters,
either..

Disappointed with the video rating. Oh well, I'll buy it anyway, it's a wonderful movie and it has to look better than the old SD release.
