Default 'Blades of Glory' -- pre-release buzz

Paramount has just announced 'Blades of Glory' for HD DVD release on August 28:

No specs yet, but should be a good one. Saw the film in the theater and it looked quite good, actually. And was pretty funny, too. Will be looking forward to it...

Awesome! I'm still debating between HD or Blu-Ray for this release though.

I have a question about he hd dvd Dolby True HD audio. My receiver (Onkyo TX-SR674) doesn't decode Dolby True HD. However, from what I understand, all hd dvd players should have the ability to decode the stream and output uncompressed PCM audio through the hdmi cable, which my receiver has no trouble with. Am I right in this assumption? Or would I have to listen to the lossy 5.1 audio track?

That is correct, other than the 360 add-on which for some reason is not able to output the 5.1 PCM due to the internal audio architecture. I suspect that they may fix that eventually. However, all standalones can decode TrueHD and send it over HDMI in PCM.

It looks like TrueHD has been removed.

I'm not arguing that it does have it but I'm still going to wait and see for this title. In no where in that thread was linked a Paramount insider said it doesnt have lossless. I see a pic of the back cover that Axelmusic has put out but I dont see back covers for any other titles coming out later in August on their website. I've seen 2 disc edition covers for Face/Off and then now a non 2 disc edition cover. So I'll wait for for it to come out or an official press release from Paramount.
