Default 'Zodiac' -- pre-release buzz

(Updated 9/18/07)

After a couple release date bumps, Paramount has finally set a new date for the upgraded 'Zodiac,' which is now set to hit HD DVD as a two-disc edition on January 8:

Still specs yet, but the standard-def DVD "double dip" will include multiple commentaries, featurettes and more, so the HD DVD should at least include likewise.

From DVDTOWN:
Quote:
Paramount will release "Zodiac" on DVD this July 24th.

No word from Paramount on the release date of the HD-DVD and Blu-ray versions but they are in the works.
It appears the SD will arrive in July and HDs later.

The HD-DVD release date for Zodiac is 9/18, the same goes for the Blu-Ray version.

Man, if that is the case, it better have some HD exclusive features not found on the standard dvd. Then at least there's an excuse for it not being day-and-date.

The reason for it not being day and date is Paramount having issues with getting their Blu-Ray produced in time. This is the same reason alot of Warner titles have not been day and date as well. You can expect the same features as the DVD on both high-def versions, nothing more and nothing less.

Then why not release the HD DVD version day/date and release the Blu-ray on 9/18?

They shouldn't hold HD DVD back because of a problem with the Blu-ray...
