That's the problem with a studio being neutral, they don't want to make it seem like they are giving HD-DVD the edge by releasing it day and date when the Blu-Ray is not ready. Warner is starting to get fed up with the delays though, it is costing them money.

I'm glad it's being delayed again. Hopefully this means it will be included in their new line up of Dolby TrueHD tracks.

I am very thankful they postponed this. With the announcement that a newer version will be out in a few months on dvd, hopefully this will prevent us HD people from having to double dip on this movie.

I am upset by one thing in this news item-- That they've taken Zodiac off the release calendar entirely.
As fantastic as hearing about finchers involvement is, simply removing it from the release calendar entirely is absurd. At very least they should give us a month, or even a fiscal quarter.
I mean, come on. Should we be excited about an indefinite wait? And given fincher's working on Benjamin Button right now, this could push the release back as far as the second quarter of '08, or later.
I can't stand not knowing, and futzing with the release twice, and THEN doing this on top of it all, is really annoying to me. -

well it sounds like the delay will definately be worth the wait
so i dont mind for now, ill prob pick up the standard dvd as a used disc at a lower price for now. -

Just buy it on SD. That's what I did. It's too good of a movie to just pass up until the HD release. And by the way the 08' release will be the Director's Cut packed with a ton of good features so I'm not too disappointed.

Oh, my bad. I didn't realize you hadn't seen it yet. I would definately recommend everybody to rent it first before buying it. I personally think it's the best movie of the year by far but a lot of other people could easily find it boring. After the first hour it is mostly talking and false leads but if you like a good crime drama and don't mind a slow pace then I would definitely recommend checking it out.

I actually really enjoyed this film. Im glad to see its getting he proper treatment for HD DVD.
While its not my favorite film, its rich enough to wrrant multiple watchings....if you isolate some of the scenes they are perfect, particulalrly the second half when RObert begins his story. -
