Default Poseidon Delayed Again

Checked several websites and they all seem to confirm that the HDDVD/DVD combo version of Poseidon has been delayed again. Many of them list a street date of 12/31/2007 and some of them like Best Buy have taken the title down altogether. I also had it in my Netflix Queue and it has been moved to my saved items-coming soon list. That sucks that it has been delayed for a second time.

The word from Warner to retailers right now is that Poseidon will release on 1/16 when they lower the price of the standard DVD to $19.99. They haven't been clear on the reason, but it appears to be related to production issues. Warner does not want to have a "Speed" like situation with Poseidon and give HD-DVD any bad press.

So right now expect the disc on 1/16.

But the UK one will not likely to be a combo given the other releases to date and it would be the combo I'm after!!

Hey 28.95 is a great price point.

Wish that Fox and other studios would take a cue here.

They would sell more units if they werent priced at $35-$40.

just a waste to promote new technology with such exorbinant pricing.

That's strange, the HD version of Poseidon has been available on XBox Live for a week or two now. I wonder why they'd delay it on disc.

Most likely an issue with the disc itself and not the film. I assume certain special features weren't behaving themselves on the players.
