Yeah, that definitely seems like one hell of a build-up. 200 plus titles in December alone? I wonder how Universal/Weinstein can do anywhere near that many. Warner must be prepped to pump out a lot of stuff in tandem then.

Hmmmmm...I think this may be worldwide numbers for HD-DVD, but something just doesn't seem right about the numbers only 43 titles for Blu-ray this year???? That seems low...I can see the HD-DVD numbers if they are worldwide, but, I dont see it if they are domestic JMHO though....

It has to be worldwide...Studio Canal will probably play a big part in all those titles too (if it isn't a typo, of course).

If this is worldwide the numbers for Blu ray seem ridiculously small. If this is only the US the numbers for HD DVD seem ridiculously large.

The 20 and 29 for May and June do match up with whats been announced for North America. Can Peter confirm this?

If you read the article, you will see it is not a typo. The total of over 800 was added together month by month. In the article, they list the number of releases month by month...240 in December alone it says.

I read the article, the number is just way too high to be believed. 440 titles between October and December

800 titles from now til the end of the year?!?!

If this is true then HOLY CRAP!!


I mean, according to this article, there will be more HD DVDs released in December 2007 than the entire 2009 for Blu-ray...
