Default 'Death Proof (German Import)' - High-Def Digest Review

This may be the very last new HD DVD to be released, so we thought we
should give it a little special attention.

Josh has reviewed 'Death Proof' (German Import). He says there's not
much reason to import it if you have a Blu-ray player. He also says audio,
video, and supplements are basically the same as the domestic Blu-ray, but
at a much higher price. However, if you're a bigtime HD DVD fan, then
this is kind of a cool collectible and may be worth a look:

Nice review Josh.............. Glad to see the final given it's proper respect. I have this disc and love it!

P.S ---- A proper review of P2 should also be considered.

Great review, Josh. I think I'm gonna go back and replay that 'fucking amazing car chase' scene once again.

Well, I'll say this much. It's sure a helluva lot better movie to end a format with then that ho-hum over-Hollywoodized 'Twister'. This movie has all the makings of a cult classic, and could become a bonafide classic someday as well.

Without the visual effects bullshit. Great review, Josh. I'm on the fence regarding getting this as I already have the full uncut Japanese DVD set, but this might just push me toward a buy.

Not sure where the "Much Higher Price" came from as I don't believe anyone here has paid more than $25 for this disc which is only a few dollars more than the $19 Amazon has for the BD. Seeing as how the HD disc is a Steelbook and from the looks of other Steelbooks that are sellng for $40+ this actually seems like a steal

As a still loyal HD DVD supporter, I had to have this one of course, and so I do. It's also a plus that Germany is a little closer to home for me, so the costs of importing weren't very high.

Death Proof HD DVD.... or Proof of Death for HD DVD? Sorry, couldn't resist.

I think I'm gonna get this one too, just for the heck of it. Who knows, it might become a collector's item worth gazillions?

Heavily into necrophilia - still enjoying 'dead' HD DVDs.
