I'm pretty excited about this, it'll probably be the biggest HD DVD exclusive to date in terms of sheer dollars. Good stuff!

I plan on grabbing this in September. I got into Heroes halfway through the season ... saw a few episodes but then I decided to wait for it on DVD so I could enjoy the whole thing properly. With this HD DVD release I am estatic.

Today I received an e-mail that dvdboxoffice.com shipped my copy of Heroes, now I do hope that Discs and the 360 player are really region free.

And because I live in Austria it's gonna take a while until I actually receive this set.

I'm just a bit irritated that it mostly states "Region 1" with this disc set in various online shops, but maybe they just copied the info from the DVD release.

If I receive this set this week I'd be really happy, cause on the 27th I'm having a wisdom tooth removed and after the last time I will really need something to distract me and this set would be perfect for that.

I think online shops like playusa.com state that HD DVDs are region incoded (even though their not), to try and give the impression their not incouraging importation of films.

We all know governments prefere you to shop in your own country so they can charge you more, so I think it might be an obligation thing (even though its all lies).

But dont worry. Im importing heroes on HD DVD when its released from the US and im in the UK.

It should be ok. I was also worried when I was ordering HD DVD from France and Germany and they said it's region 2. But I'm watching them with no problems in Canada.

Won't Heroes hd dvd create problems when trying to connect online with it? I import all my hd dvd's because it is cheaper and more titles avaible. Europe can't go to the NBC site to watch the episodes, won;t those same restrictions are in place with the hd dvd?

No because Universal will run the server, not NBC.

I have a question about the Pilot episode.

I know sometimes Pilots try to tell the whole story and give away some spoilers for later in the season.

I was wondering if there is anything like that in the Heroes pilot? We are going to start watching on Monday and need to know if we should watch the pilot first or not. Thanks

I watched it and it did not revealed anything. To me it was a different look and way to start the series.
