Default Heroes on? HD-DVD Fantastic!

It's funny that a show I was ready to hate at first turns out to be the best show in years. I think Universal made a great decision launching this on HD-DVD at the same time as standard def. I hope it sells well.

There will NEVER be a built in HD DVD drive for the 360! That would increase costs to much for something that's meant ONLY for MOVIES!!! No Games will ever be released on it as MS has stated this fact a few times. It's a Option for those that want to watch HD DVD Movies cheaply. I think right now you can buy a stand Alone HD DVD player for $299 after the $100 Rebate and still includes 5 free movies! So you can look at that as basically less then $199

Amazon.com has the Toshiba-HD-A2 HD DVD player for $294.99 with 5 free HD DVD Movies! RIGHT NOW!!! Seems like a good deal to me. Waiting for HD DVD built into the 360 is going to be a very long wait. The DVD drive is also FASTER then the HD DVD drive. You want your games loading up quickly, not waiting around for the HD DVD drive to do something. Popping a game disc in the external HD DVD drive does nothing.

just watched the season finale. The idea of lost should have probabley only been a total of one two to four seasons tops but too many peiople watched it however this show is not in a situation at all like that diffrent villian for each season is much easier to work with then why isnt hurley losing weight they dont look nappy enough or oh yeah who the hell are these people and where did they come from (couple with the diamond stealing background) Heros will stay fresh expect this show to stay good for 4 to 4 1/2 seasons like sopranos

Provided this is purely a HD DVD job with cover art, it will definitely be an import job to the UK when its released.

Really? Because this seaon finale convinced me that I shouldn't buy it. No spoilers, of course, but I really thought it was lackluster and anti-climactic, especially after following the entire season full of plot holes and bad character performances. And I started off really wanting to like the show, even after that sorry excuse for a pilot episode, but it just doesn't feel like a cohesive, well thought-out series so far.

Say what you will about how it'll look on HD DVD, but I can't see purchasing something just because it's in HD when it's this bad.

I personally liked how it ended. I thought for sure it was going to let me down, but it was simple and acceptable.

I'm Buying the show HD-SET, I think the show breaks boundaries by combining online Novels, Forums, and well received viewers feedback on the Forums.

No Spoilers, just a sample....

There was a character who was not named for a few episodes, the forum users referred to him as "The Haitian" then a week after the forum gave the guy the name, there was a reference comment in the show were he was named the haitian by another Hero, and the name stuck. See, what I like about the show it's that the writers are listening and interact quite frequently with the viewers.

The have created a pool of fresh Ideas by hosting the show's forum, reading and molding the show around our input. That I'm my opinion it's the best way to keep the show fresh!

I have mine pre-ordered on Amazon and cannot wait! Even if it is kind of X-Men-ish.

Wow!! EXACTLY how I feel. My wife wanted to watch the first episode and I said, "Comic Book RIPOFF!" We watched it, then the second one, then on and on - and yeah, pretty much getting it.

You will never get a xbox360 with built in HD DVD. The external one is great (if not loud). But as someone else said, HD DVD stand alone players are under £300 now and have good reviews.

As for it being HD DVD exclusive, well now you know how we feel when we cant get BR films that are exclusive.

Just wait for a dual HD DVD/BR player to be released and the price to fall and problem solved.
