I wonder if they will ever bring the tv shows with lossless sound... that would be great.

I have heard so many good things about this show! I watched the first two episodes on TV here in the UK and loved them - I'm now waiting for the HD-DVD boxset....can't wait!

great show, I watch it every week but herself hasn't seen any episodes, so I could buy this and re-watch the whole series with her!

I think it might be worth a re-watch to see what I missed the first time, I know there's a lot of subtle stuff in there, like the re-occuring helix popping up in everyday items etc.

It's been so hard to avoid spoilers, should be a good set to watch...

According to theDigitalBits, the set will be a combo release.

Originally I was hesitant seeing the 99.98 msrp for the HD set, when the standard was 59.99, but now that I know they will be combo discs, I feel much better. I was actually debating which versions to get, simply because all of the people I want to get turned onto this show don't have HD players. I have a feeling by the time this set rolls around, any kinks or problems that Universal have been having with combo discs (which seem to be less and less with each new combo release) will have been fixed by then.

Of course, ideally, all future combos would be on TwinDiscs, so we can get disc art, but frankly that's not a deal breaker to me, considering I'm getting the standard dvd's, plus all the episodes and exclusive features in HD for only 20-30 bucks more.

I now await a large amount of people to complain they will boycott this because combos are evil incarnate and serialized in sets of 3 6's. I also look forward to the number of people who were perfectly willing to spend that amount on a regular HD-DVD set but now feel they're being ripped off somehow by it being revealed as a combo set.

I too have to say Lost has now eclipsed 24 as my favorite show. 24 has went downhill reusing old storylines.

I don't see why people "lost" interest in Lost, I think it has gotten better and better. I do wish they would return to the numbers though.

On topic -
I really hope the Pilot episode is in HD and not what they did with Animatrix on that box set.

That's great news if the retail price is really now only $80--hopefully Amazon will fix their listing.

I was a little hesitant with it being $100 MSRP!

I really don't see it getting much lower than the $69.95 sale price, considering it's a 7 disc set. One can hope though.

As posted earlier, digitalbits and other sites are reporting this is a combo release. Amazon is saying it isn't. Any confirmed info either way?

I probably can't be bothered to buy this on HD-only, if so. I have too many people I want to get into the show, and too many rooms to watch it in, just to turn around and make it only 1 room and 1 player. It would also make the price a lot more digestable.
