Default HD-DVD collection hit the 500 mark!!

Just hit 500 HD-DVD's with my most recent purchases (over 600 with the Blu's)! While I will never catch up with Bruce or Tormond, I never thought I would hit this milestone! Sad thing is, I still have more I am searching for.....wonder if I can make it to 600??

Congrats on the 500 mark. If these bids I have on these HDs on another site go through, I think I should hit 50. Pales in comparison, i know, but still.

BTW, aaronwt, I am in shock and awe at your setup specs. if you ever want to donate another 360 someone's way, I could use a spare. lol

As one of those people with ~1000+ HDM total at this point I would certainly have to diagree with you. This is just off the top of my head but

Casablanca - Not worth viewing? I know there aren't space aliens eating heads but hey this is GREAT Cinema (and Aliens is probably one of my top 2 favorite films of all time)

Perfume- Story of a Murderer - If you haven't seen this you should..Everybody should

Umm All the Opus Artes Discs (there are more than 10 just in this category I am sure) Great Stuff there

Serenity, Children of Men, Forbidden Planet, The Searchers, Shinobi, Thats Entertainment 1-3, Equilibrium, Both Bale Batman Movies, etc etc etc and the list goes on.

Do I own some stinkers? Yep sure do. Wicker Man isn't even worth putting on VHS IMO but I have it. But I have also found some amazing films that otherwise I would never have known about except that in the early days of HDM you picked up whatever they offered while the catalog was so tiny and I am grateful that they did as I found cinema I didn't know.

I am at about 275 plus 140 Blu so that puts me at about 415 total, not quite as large as most here but enough to keep me busy for a while.

Congrats on the milestone. It wasn't until I got to 500 that I thought about getting the rest.

I think I've reached the peak of my collection as far as number of titles.

While there are still a few titles I'm on the hunt for, there are many I've procured through bundle-buys which I would have never sought out individually and don't particularly want in my collection. An example would be Friday Night Lights.

So I think I may thin my collection down a bit in size, increasing the quality of it in the process.

Do any of you watch movies? or do you just collect them to compete with people on the Internet?

Watch them??? Am I supposed to watch them?

Seriously, I am a lot like Christophles in this area as I have over 400 that I have not watched yet. That being said, the thrill of the hunt has kept me entertained over the past couple of years. Once I run out of titles I want, I will kick back and start watching them.
