Zombie Farm Hd Dvd????
Came across this in a listing on ebay tonight??? Claims to be an HD DVD, but packaging says DVD on it???
Comes with:
1) New(limited edition) Sealed DVD
2)Autographed Still Photo
THE HD DVD CONTAINS:
Complete Theatrical Movie, newly digitized and optimized for HIGH DEFINITION viewing.
ZOMBIE FARM HD-DVD Movie NEW Limited Edition HD-DVD.............that's the actual ebay sellers description.
Anybody out there own this to confirm if it's an actual HD DVD?? BLB the manufacturer is selling these direct, so I dunno it might be legit? They claim to only have 3 copies, so I just did a buy it now bid. I will not fork over any money though until I can confirm first hand that this an actual HD DVD!Last edited by REDBULL74; 01-01-2009 at 12:02 AM.

I got one

.Happy New Year and thanks for the question. Yes, it is an HD-DVD that will only play on HD-DVD players. It was manufactured as part of the HD 1,000 Indie Projects by CreateSpace with Amazon and Microsoft. When HD-DVD lost the High-Def battle, they stopped all manufacturing of these projects, so we were left with what we had on hand. For licensing reasons, CreateSpace does not put the official HD-DVD or DVD logos on their products. We had about 60 of these available that we sold after manufacturing stopped, and didn't receive any complaints about HD-DVD player compatibility
Amazon still has the original page posted where it was actually only available for about a month. It has some of the tech specs here: http://www.amazon.com/Zombie-Farm-HD...0838332&sr=8-1
Hell has been unleashed on the small town of Muerto Verde when inbred cannibal farmers are turned into zombies after Taliban warriors poison the local water supply. Humanity's only hope are two FBI agents and four party-crazed college students. The harvest has begun. In the tradition of horror classics like Sam Raimi's Evil Dead and Peter Jackson's Bad Taste, Zombie Farm brings a new twist to the slow walking, George Romero living dead zombie fun. Zombie Farm has been called a "hellbound hayride of absurdity" and "wildly enjoyable." It's grindhouse fun for a new generation.
This product is manufactured on demand using DVD-R recordable media. Amazon.com's standard return policy will apply. -

Damn. How is it I missed this thread last night and early this morning? I was here but didn't see it.
Anyway, this is in the same league of Amazon HD DVDs on DVD-R (HD Net and Living Landscapes), so not a bonafide HD DVD but I still want it (the Movie sounds pretty cool, too).

Sorry you missed it Bruceames, but I think this is a real HD DVD.
(At least that's what BLB told me.) With barely 60 in known existance, this ranks up there with Taking Lives.
January 1 2009.......................and another rare
is discovered. lol
Who would've thought?MEDIA

Here's some more rare HD DVDs. Like the above, all made by Amazon and all are encoded on a DVD-9. However the above is an actual movie and may be the only 'Indie 1000' one Amazon did (with the extra goodies to boot), so congrats on the score guys.

I asked the seller about having any more (never hurts to ask) and he replied:
I don't know how serious he was about that, but it sure would be nice if it happened.Unfortunately we are out of the HD-DVD. When HD-DVD lost out to Blu-Ray we weren't able to manufacture anymore. We are looking into doing some short run HD-DVD duplication, but I don't know if this will be possible. Thanks!

The guy at BLB said the last few disc's sold real fast and like one after another. I think once I posted it here, a few of you bit the bullet and went for it.
I also asked the guy from BLB if he had more (even used copies), for others here on the forum. He said, "the last 3 is all I have left". He said the HD DVD was popular and they only made like 60 copies!
jal8791 glad u scored one.
