Well whoever said the Saw HD DVD looked better was wrong. I did a direct an A-B comparison between various shots. The Blu Ray reveals more fine object detail, and the HD DVD transfer is a bit too dark. The colors on the HD DVD might be a bit warmer, hard to tell with this movie. Tha dio on the HD DVD might be a tad better, as it boasts 7.1 audio, but 6.1 on the Blu Ray, but I'd doubt it's signifigent. $15, straight down the tubes.

Resale value on Saw should be decent enough for an easy flip though.

So, should Universal's "The Deer Hunter" be added to the list based upon the reviews that are out there? Does anyone have any thoughts as to a comparison of the HD-DVD and the recent Universal release?

I would think it's a no brainer, given the level of DNR they coated on the Blu-ray version.
