Thumbs up 'American Werewolf in London' -- High-Def Digest review

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Glad to be back in the swing of things and reviewing again:

One of my favorites as a kid. Pretty good HD DVD -- same master as the old DVD, which has some problems. But looks fairly good and I still enjoyed the extras the second time around. Worth a look if you're a fan...

Great film, but given that it uses the same master and a feeling that it is only a slight improvement over the DVD. I think I'll be sticking with the latter.

I was thinking the same thing, probably just stick with my DVD version for now.....Unless I see the HD version in a bargain bin sometime soon!

Hmmm... I don't have this one in any format, and I barely remember the movie. Based on Peter's review, I just might pick this one up when I grab The Mummy

God,this is one of my favorite films of all time.....I bought the standard def release (original) then, the collector's edition, which is the same one this hi-def release is. Not sure,...it's always one of the more pricier titles, think I'll wait. Kind of got burned on the Goodfellas HD DVD, which is good, but about the same as the standard def release..... c'mon Universal release a new version with all high-def extras and then maybe!

When I found out it was the same HD master print for 2001, I passed too!

Default Could Get HD Side to Play on A35

I couldn't get the HD side to play on a Panasonic A35 1.3 Firmware. Back it went.
