Default 'Face/Off' - pre-release buzz

This has just been announce for an August 28th release on both HD DVD and Blu-ray.

Link.

Despite it not being one of John Woo's better efforts (in my opinion) I'll definitely be piking it up if the A/V is up to scratch.

Let's hope the supplements are decent too.

DVDTimes is a UK website. The release might not refer to us here, in the colonies.

Actually, the DVD Times' article is specifically talking about the US release of these titles (which they often do):

Paramount Home Entertainment have announced the US Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD DVD release of Face/Off (Special Collector’s Edition) on 28th August 2007

Good movie...kind of bizarre , but a film that would be cool in HD DVD.

It seems as if all the Paramount releases are either new releases (day and date with DVD) or special edition releases (day and date with DVD). If this is true that explains why they're so slow to release films.

This is a must have for me. (except I don't know why the Face/Off Blu-ray link points to a HD DVD specific thread)

Hoping for a TrueHD track but I'm betting it will be DD Plus. Should still be a cracker though

This was one of many titles I wanted from Paramount back when DVD just came out.

Should be a great HD DVD.
