Default Batman Begins - High-Def Digest

Peter Bracke on 'Batman Begins':

"I'm happy to report that 'Batman Begins' delivers in spades. It is all that I hoped for, and as it stands now, is likely to be the first disc I pull out when I need great demo material to show off my system..."

This is indeed a great disc - but on my disc the sound is slightly out of sync (a few frames) - have anyone else have the same problem, or can it be an error on my disc? I own 12 HD DVDs and none of the others I own seems to be out of sync.

i think i am the only person on the planet that thought that movie was awful, i didn't buy one minute of it. To me, it was like robocop2 (ok, a little better) and x-men 3 (yuk).

That's what i am saying, the only person on the planet
I'll throw this on the fire too. I wasn't crazy abouth the lord of the rings trilogy either, after seeing the first, the other 2 seemed long and repetitious.

Definitely glad I picked this up first. I only had a few choices to bring home with me from the store (our selection at Circuit City sucks), and this was a good one. Excellent, excellent video quality and just a good movie in general.

Ouch...I think the movies could have been MUCH longer and people still would have watched them. The movies followed the books as close as possible and in my opinion were almost the perfect length to fit the story line they came from. If you made it any shorter there would have been major plot holes or loss of character development (think the difference between KOH and KOH DC). personally I don't know what is happening to people these day I see a lot of complaints on movies that are "too long" and that it should be "shorter" too much MTV and 30 Min Television shows have corrupted the "younger" generation and some of the "older" as well. Please have become to accustomed to getting a story wrapped up in 1/2 hour and short 30 sec commercials, then when movies like LOTR come along people say they are too long even if the story needed to be told in that length of time. I guess its just me but it just make me cringe most of the time when people say movies are "too long". SOrry to rant lik this back to normal programming.

BTW I recieved BB today have yet to watch it but I am excited to see what it brings

now I havent got a problem with long films but I hated LoTR.

I also hated Batman Begins. The first thing i noticed was how bad the set design and photgraphy was. The DoP couldnt frame a shot if his life depended on it.

How it got oscar nominated is a complete mystery. There must have been some pretty bad films that year.

i haven't got a problem with length either, chalk up to personal preference i guess. i just thought that lord of the rings 2 and 3 were pretty much the same movie and plus how do you fight a ghost, kinda seems unfair the trip up the mountain kingdom (sorry i don't know the names well) with gandolf on his horse was crazy long.

Am i the only one that finds this movie to be quite soft in video quality? Yes its clean and the dynamic range is good, but it is lacking definition and detail , not only in faces but overall. I am curious as to the high ratings of this film where many find this softness to be unacceptable for High Definition. Compare a film like king kong and its amazingly sharp and detailed . Perhaps other films have spoiled me? But im not completely satisfied here

I agree, though i know two kids who enjoy them, and i, myself, personally LOVE LOTR. It's because some people are just too energetic to sit down.
