Default 'Cream: Live at the Royal Albert Hall' - High-Def Digest Review

We just posted Peter's review of 'Cream: Live at the Royal Albert Hall' on HD DVD. Beyond its obvious appeal to Cream fans, the primarily selling point of this shot-on-HD concert is likely to be its near perfect picture-window video presentation. On all other fronts, it's a fairly average HD DVD concert release.

I really have to question Mr. Bracke's familiarity with this band and whether he was listening to them when they were originally together.

To make a long-winded review short, this is a great concert by 3 great musicians that were able to come together as a band and create unique music that far more often than not, stands the test of time.

My only disappointment with this disc was that Rhino did not re-do the audio to at least a 1.5mbit DD+.

Comparing CREAM to ABBA in any way, shape or form or even mentioning the 2 in the same article is an insulting and shows a real lack of musical knowledge. And just for the record, the reason(s) why ABBA have not re-united are 1. Agnetha is a recluse, refuses to travel or even appear in public with the other members 2. Benny hates Bjorn. 3. They've already made a billion dollars.
