Default 2nd HD DVD Owner Survey now open, with prizes!

The followup to the first HD DVD survey from a couple of weeks back has opened. This one is much longer and covers just about everything under the sun about HD DVD.

You can view results from the first survey too, plus enter to win a Complete Matrix Trilogy HD DVD collection or a $25 Amazon gift certificate. Go to HighDefResearch.com and click the link to the 2nd survey.

Did Bill Cortner put you up to this? The only reason I see to gather data like this is to see how much longer they can rape us on discs to minimize their loss. I highly doubt anyone is going to produce more HD DVD players or products. If you would like to see the discs drop in price I would suggest filling this out so it shows little willingness to spend any more money on HD DVD.

CONSUMERS BEWARE! TBS = Astroturfing, undercover marketing and deception at its worst.

Tell us how you really feel!

I answered it honestly. Bluray is here to stay, I don't see for HD DVD can do anything to stop that, even with a few more discs (which I highly doubt will happen) If more comes out, and it's better than what Blu offered, I will buy. It's my choice. If not, oh well.

If they decide to offer basically HD DVD o standard DVD's (probably multiple or TL) I will consider it also, if quality is there. I already have the HD DVD players, why not? I don't care who I support, I just want quality products. What's wrong with choices?

(Yes, I do support the Blu product. I have about 30 movies and am patiently waiting for my Pioneer player to ship out.)

I filled it out.

That survey was way, way too long. I imagine a lot of people gave up before finishing it.

I filled it out, maybe some indie studio wants to release some stuff on HD DVD? I guess it was worth the shot for free stuff.

Man was that a long survey. The question that interested me most was about putting HD content on memory cards to play on displays that support it, not really HD-DVD related thou.

Back to the Important stuff.

Since I as a newbie can't post the direct link and I am sure the gas mask guy won't do it again you can find a direct link to the second HD DVD survey at the Amazon HD DVD forum in the 2nd HD DVD Owner Survey Now Open thread.Chance to win two prizes awarded for participation.

I think that any survey which may help in getting some new HD DVDs released again for those of us with players (and a wish to see some new software releases) can only be a good thing.
Sure the survey was long and detailed but if the information within can help in getting out some new releases, then this can only be described as time well spent.

It is hard to tell for sure but this sounds promising.Like there is real potential here rather than just wishful thinking.I do believe that the results of the survey will help determine initial releases and the success or failure of those releases will affect future releases.
Ultimately this will be a financial decision. If they think that there will be enough interest they will try it.If they fail to have sufficient sales and profits they will not be inclined to continue.
We all know how the world works, money talks.

Took the survey, though when I looked at the end results, I don't remember answering anything about importing movies.

I'd honestly like to see indie studios do movies in HD DVD. I'd buy some.

No, those results they show were from the first survey that was done a coupla weeks ago. There was no question about importing movies in the 2nd survey being conducted now.
