So sometime in early February 2008, a couple weeks after buying my second Toshiba HD-DVD player, the A30 model, i mail out my 5 free HD-DVD offer to
Toshiba 5 free HD dvd offer PO Box 130431 "i think" El Paso, TX 88543-0431 Anyway, it had come back not deliverable-unable to forward. So i checked online again, and the only other address/po box i could find for HD DVD offers for Toshiba was PO Box 420503 and changed the zip/po box part too to 0503 too. Now that happened all within 2 weeks of first mailing in February. Fast forward through March/April/May/June, end of July 2008, my letter comes back to me in my PO box, front LOOKs the same as i last sent it out, and im like, wtf, still undeliverable? YET the envelope was sliced open on top? wtf? Inside is my form and purchase receipt still just as mailed, but they stamped the toshiba form in a green box shaped stamp.... ARCHWAY April 2008, Receiving Department PO Box Close Now it took from April -July to get this back to me, and now im just SOL for my 5 free HD DVDs? Theyre actually for my father who i gave the player to and so the form is filled out in his name. They never calld my phone OR emailed me about it which was on my toshiba form for the 5 free hd-dvds. Now i know they stopped making the players and now continue to stop production of all future HD_dvd releases, but you can still find these discs all over. I would not have bought the player if it wasnt for the cheaper price and to get 5 free movies worth $25-$30 each. It already sucks you cant get new movies for the HD players but this sure smells. Toshiba can stop product ion if they'd like, but they cant not honor a promotion to sell an item, and then not ship you the said product. Its called fraud, and by closing their PO box, thats , mail fraud, a federal crime. Anyone else run into this? I want either my 5 free movies or cash compensation from Toshiba for another product that is available.

Call Toshiba and speak to someone in customer service.

I got my 10 months ago. Although the second batch was nothing I wanted, but who cares...free is free.
I'd call, you'll probably get something if you pursue.

Pursue it.
From what I've seen, Toshiba and the fulfillment company handled this offer like shit during 2008. I don't think anybody received the titles they actually requested after February. Which in and of itself is crap, because all of the titles that supposedly 'ran out' can still be purchased at only online retailer that stocks HD DVDs. But more than that... with any commitment to actually fulfill orders with the requested titles apparently thrown out sometime in January, there's no reason fulfillment should have taken as long as it has taken for pretty much everybody. If all they were going to to was ram five random titles in a pouch and slap a mailing label on it... there should have been a turn around time of under a month.
