Default Finally!--HD DVD resealable protection sleeves available

I have used this company for years, and wanted to let everyone know that they have finally created resealable case sleeves for HD DVDs and Blu-Rays.
They have non-resealable and resealable sleeves available now.
I just got the new catalog yesterday, so this info is brand new!
I have been waiting for these forever as I like to put all my dvd cases in plastic sleeves. Anyway, check them out!

That does look like a nice and useful product line. Pretty cool!

I've used Bags Unlimited for laserdisc sleeves and agree they're a good company.

I fail to see the point in a sleeve for a HD/Blu-ray or even DVD case, though. Lasedisc cardboard jackets were very fragile and needed protecting. DVD/HD cases are plastic and the artwork is already protected by a covering.

Nice to see that they are carrying replacement HD DVD and Blu-ray cases, though.

I wish there was a picture of them...how does the seal actually work? Does it make them alot thicker to take up more shelf space?

The sleeves will be fairly thin, and so if you use them on every disc on a shelf it will make the overall effect one that will lessen the overall shelf space just a little, but not much at all.
You just place the case in the sleeve, and then you pull off a little piece of plastic that covers a sticky surface on the flap allowing it to stick to the case. it just folds kind of like an envelope. The sleeves are clear.

I'm tryin to decide if I need a flap or buy the thin ones with a resealable flap. Right now I use a razor knife when I take the shrink wrap off a movie and slide it back on after I watch it. I think this is what I need but I wonder if the cheapest ones will be fine.

I think you will be happy with the one's with the resealable flap.
the only other decision is do you want the really clear, crispy sleeves or the more stretchey less clear one's.
That is the difference between the polyethelene and the other ones.
can never remember which one is which.

They will send a catalog with 2 bag samples. I requested 2 different ones to see which one to get.

So these sleeves are made to protect the case, which is made to protect the disc itself. Do I have that right? I don't mean to offend anyone, but this seems excessive to me.

yeah I can understand that, but I have seen many people's dvd collections that look absolutely ravaged, and the sd dvds have the same type of plastic covering. I just like to keep my collection as mint as possible so I like using these types of sleeves.
There is a bit of ocd going on for sure.

I carefully open a new disc with a razor knife...Then I carefully peal the top seal open on one side. After I watch it I reseal the top seal making sure not to get the tiniest of air bubbles. Then put the shrink wrap back on. Making sure not to leave ANY fingerprints anywhere.

I have to agree with Josh here .. I used them a lot for my laserdiscs but never thought to use them for my HD DVDs (or BDs or DVDs).. I am curious as to the cardboard seperators (so my wife can find things easier) and the smaller "cd style" cases which seem to fit the artwork with no wasted space. Maybe I need to order a few of both of these to see how well they would work. I am running out of space in a 8'x5' rack just for my HD DVDs..and I have probably 50 more inc to me...
