Question "Into The Wild" Disc Read Issue

I mentioned this in another topic, and finally decided to see if it could be corrected.

Recently I was given the film Into The Wild on HD DVD as a gift. I got just about 2 hours into the film, and then the image began to slow, skip and eventually froze. I ejected the disc and tried to play that chapter again with my 360 addon, and had the same results.

Searching this site for similar issues, I found none, but did find a Customer Service e-mail for Paramount Pictures. I wrote the e-mail a message, explaining the issue, and asked if a replacement could be sent, but have not received a response from them (it's been over a week).

I know HD DVD is probably no longer a concern to Paramount, but this will persuade me to not purchase from them if they do not even give me a reply. Should I just expect a brush off by Paramount, or should I e-mail them again?

i'd write them again. studios want to keep their customers happy even if the format is discontinued. i had a similar issue with a warner bros disc and got it resolved... and it was handled in a reasonable time but if i do remember correctly, it took a second attempt before i got someone to respond.

Thumbs up

Fortunately, Paramount replied a few days after I posted this. I never rewrote them back, as I expected to be ignored, so their late reply shocked me. I had to answer a few questions for their information, and give them a shipping address. After that, they shipped out a replacement, rather quickly, which arrived today.

They have kept me as a customer.
