Default What's NEW in your DVD collection??

Talk about your latest DVD purchases. Anything from a title that is now available, an up and coming one, or that hard as hell to find ‘Out of Print’ horror DVD---which you finally found in a trade, E-Bay, whatever...

My XA2 player is so damn good at upconversion I've been buying DVDs for the first time since the launch of & .

I settled for the Equilibrium DVD - it was only $6 new from Amazon and the only has DD+; if it had DTS-HD MA audio I would have gone for the HD.

I used my Amazon $50 certificate for buying an HD player to buy the Weinstein Miriam Collection release of El Cid & The Fall of the Roman Empire + the Equilibrium DVD.

I traded my Heroes Season One for all 5 seasons of Six Feet Under DVD; I watch a whole season over the weekends when it's 110 degrees outside in the Arizona summer.

I just used an Amazon $50 certificate from my Amex Rewards to buy Lord of the Rings Trilogy Extended Edition DVD - tired of waiting for it in high-def and I long ago gave away my "fool screen" editions I bought when I was working overseas & watching DVDs on my laptop.

But mostly I use my BB Online subscription to rent DVDs - last weekend I watched John from Cincinnati entire season; I don't subscribe to HBO. What a strange effin series.

A friend of mine bought "The Punisher" on blu ray, so he gave me his SD copy. Pretty good movie. I'd never seen it until this past weekend.

My latest HD DVD purchases were "Dawn Of The Dead" and "The Breakfast Club" and those will probably be, sadly, the last HD DVD's I ever buy.

I just bought a Venturer HD DVD player from Walmart (my third player), so I'm going to put one of my Toshiba's up for future use. Freddy

I too got Equilibrium off of ebay, as well as all 5 HD-DVD's for Band of Brothers. Prior to that it was the Japanese versions of The Prestige and Underworld. Funds are getting a little low, so I am taking a break for a while to watch some of the movies.......
