I think it's 1080i content so maybe that's causing some strange effects on your setup? Different settings might help...

It looked OK on my setup but I had some playback trouble with disc 1 on one of my players, it worked fine on my other one though.

Turn off forced 1080p/24 if you have it enabled (I did). It is the same problem that I had with Bleak House and Robin Hood until I turned off 1080p/24. Everything looks like it is jumping around and hanging about every 3 seconds.. VERY annoying..Only player I have tried it on has been my XA2 which unfortunatly decided about 3 days to start exhibiting the shutdown bug Time to get on the phone with Tosh...

Ya pans look really bad...I was going to mess with switching between film and video settings on both my player and TV. Guess I'll take it off off 1080p/24. I have an A-30. I could not get disc 1 to play one side says region error and the other side had some other error. I cleared memory and rebooted it several times on both sides?

Pretty sure the BBC programming would have been shot at 25fps so forcing 24Hz isn't a good idea!

I noted that the discs I received are labelled incorrectly. What it states to be the HD side is infact the DVD side and vice-versa.

Yeah 1080p/24 is a no-no with the BBC TV shows.. My Hotel Babylon and Robin Hood discs are ALL labeled backwards FWIW. The HD DVD side is the PAL DVD and the DVD side is the HD.

That disc 1 is strange - it wouldn't play on my XA2, but plays fine on my A30; disc 2 & 3 play fine on my XA2. I'm only using 1080i output and have the Film/Movie selection set to Automatic, so output looks fine to me. Didn't get the magnifying glass out to try to read what was on the inner ring, just put it in with the printed ring side up like other combos and got the HD side.
