ITs about that 5 free HD DVD deal.

Sent it in early Feb

My Check was cashed on March 5th. I called the Canadian 5 free HD DVD help line 1-866-640-7779 and was told by automated message that the promotion has been completed on May 23rd and all HD DVD's have been sent out by or before that time

It then gives a # to call if you have any questions about HD DVD products (ya I have a question where the #$&% are my HD DVD's) so I call the provided # 1-800-268-3404 and oh guess what I get sme answering machine thats in french (with no mention of HD DVD ).. I call back later get a guy who answers in french.. I am like.."uhhhh.." then he says you have the wrong # dont you.. like he has had that happen many times before.. so ya.. they give out the wrong # to contact them

So yes i know it is only 10 bucks.. but I also could have returned my HD DVD player...if only i had the reciept and code I cut from the box, the lady wouldnt let me return it to Future shop. And I could have used my 360 add on.

Anyways I Wanna bitch so someone about my 10$ Does anyone know who I can call (I am in Canada).

The discs are probably enroute to you now. I just received mine not 3 days ago.

Well considering this is a place where i can drive to in about 1 hour.. 10 mail days so far (from may 23)..just seems sort of a long time especially if it has taken them this long and my check was cashed 3 months ago.. oh well. I would have probably gotten 5 copies of U2 or something.

Okay, I am now rather annoyed.

Even if my HD-DVD's were not shipped out untill May 23 it has been 17 mailing days, almost 4 weeks, It does not take 4 mailing weeks to mail something.

THe Canadian HD-DVD offer phone # is not helpfull, supplies a wrong phone # to call for HD-DVD questions and help. Anyone have a real Number I can call to complain to these people about not recieving my HD-DVDs and charging me 10$.

By comparison, I ordered 2 HDDVDs from inetvideo last wed, last thurs was told it shipped, and got them this monday. Thats 3 mailing days.

I didn't get mine either yet..... But there are a few people who are still getting them even today if you check other postings...... I don't really give a shit if they show up, don't get me wrong I'd like to have them but if $10 is all I'm out than no biggie....

Well as I said I mailed it in early feb, cheque cashed March 5th. HDDVD special promotion closed and all remaining orders shipped out on May 23rd..

So yeah.. its been 3 months.. and even so.. 4 weeks to mail something from a place that is an hour drive from me?..oh well.. I will keep waiting..perhaps by Aug I will know for sure if they are comming lol.. either way I will complain to them.. yes its only 10 bucks.. but...its my 10 bucks.. lol..

There is the chance the package is ultimately lost, delayed or could still be on its way. Next week makes it four weeks. As you said fortunately it's just CAD $10. Hope they arrive.

Nope. Toshi mailed everyone a card saying that the overwhelming number of sales in the last few weeks of HD DVD's existence has put them off schedule and most people would not get their disks until early fall. I, however, got mine yesterday. Not a single one I ordered.
