Question "The Searchers" problem(?)

I bought this nice title when it first came out and played it on my Toshiba A35 while viewing it on my smaller 720P LCD. It played just fine. I recently upgraded to a larger 1080p LCD and just now started to view it again using the same A35. The movie itself plays just fine but I can't access the Menus. The reason I bring this up is because subtitles are showing and I want to get rid of them - but can't!

Anybody else run into this little glitch, and if so, did you find a remedy?

Try re-starting the player and if that doesn't work, see if you can find a firmware update. The only time I had this problem was with my "The Contract" disc, the only fix was a FW update. Good luck

If that ^^^^ doesn't get the menus for you, press the "subtitles" button on the remote to turn subtitles off & on.

1. HD-DVD_4_me: I've got the latest FW(2.0) for the A35, so unless I'm missing one somewhere, that's as far as I can go.

2. ConchiseGuy: I'm at work now, but I'll try your suggestions when I get home.

Thanks much!

You know, it's funny - for the longest time I didn't realize there was a subtitle button on the remote until recently. I got the Japanese release of Band Of Brothers and was asking for help on how to navigate the Japanese menus to turn off the subs and someone posted "Why don't you just use the subtitle button on the remote?"
