Default 'One Missed Call' - High-Def Digest Review

Peter's review of 'One Missed Call' has been posted. He hated it. This
HD DVD release is as serviceable as the previous Blu-ray, with strong
video, decent audio, and no extras. One to avoid.

I guess we could thank Warner Bros. for still releasing movies but it's a shame that one of them has to be this movie. Oh well, might pick it up just for the hell of it.

Too bad HD DVD has to end its run with such shitty releases.

I'm hoping somebody at one of the studios has a nerdy heart and pushes for a solid title to be released on HD DVD as a nice farewell. Not counting on it though.

I believe the "solid title" you're wishing for is Twister... even though there are some people such as myself who don't care much for that movie.

Since this movie was so bad I never got around to ordering it from Amazon and then it sold out. I have been Googling it every so often looking for a deal then last week Movies Unlimited popped up and had it new for $17.99. I placed an order for the hell of it and got the order confirmation. I was going to post here for anyone who might be interested in one, then the next day it was taken off their website. I never got a shipment confirmation or anything so I assumed they made a mistake. Today the movie arrived new and they also included some Michael Douglas/Liam Neeson movie I never heard of for free (Shining Through). Now if only I can get my hands on the Sublime HD DVD on the cheap.

Funny how sometimes a bad title becomes a little more appealing when it gets hard to come by all of a sudden.
