Thumbs up 'Reds' -- High-Def Digest review

Checked out 'Reds' today on HD DVD:

Interesting -- it is a two-disc set, with the film interrupted. I didn't find it that disruptive, as the film is so long anyway. Otherwise, it is a good disc, and I actually would give the slight edge to the HD DVD over the Blu-ray, at least in terms of detail and depth to the transfer.

I watched this last night; it had been years since I'd seen it. An absolutely fantastic film; the use of the "witnesses" really makes it work.

I didn't even notice the length, it flies by.
