Thumbs up

I'm glad amazon took best buy's lead and did this too.

I just wish I had bought more players!

I spent mine this morning. Bought Blade Runner collectors edition (breifcase) and King of California, only cost me $5.94 after my $50 coupon. I could have waited till prices dropped more, but KoC was already on a week delay, I'd rather get whatever few movies I have left while I still can. Not worth it to wait IMO.

I only have one more HD DVD or pre-order. Then it will be only BD titles. But I'm only buying a select few now. If FOx would lower their prices I would buyy a bunch, but I refuse to pay their high prices for catalog titles.
Either way my $150 will go toward BD titles. At least I'll have a year to use it. i already preordered my first BD title with the credits, Short Circuit. For $13 I figured WTH.

Cool. I should be getting one of these rebates for my a35. Which after the price matches was a hell-of-a-deal.

I'm plan on using the rebate, if I get it ,to buy more HD movies. I had thought I got all of the ones we wanted and was concentrating on buying imports, however when I was looking at the CC 50% bin I realized there were quite a few more I wouldn't mind owning if the price is right.

Wonder if its valid for the Xbox 360 add-on...?

I bought mine back in mid-December and haven't received any mail from Amazon yet...

Every HD DVD unit applies? And, does the fact that I kept buying HD DVD movies have any weight in me being subject for the promo?

Are you people still getting e-mails about it even today? If not, I guess I'll be very sad...

I've seen people post that they received the rebate for buying the xbox add-on. I suggest you contact them by clicking "Help" in the upper right of their home page, then clicking "Contact Us". YOu'll need the order # for your add-on purchase.
I hadn't received my rebate by this morning for the A35 I bought from them last October, and after I contacted them I had a reply in 1 hour with my rebate code.

as much as i want to spend this $50, i kind of want to wait til BD players are down so I can get a good price. well see if that really happens though.

would it be stupid to buy BD movies before i get the player? part of my fixation is just having the movie itself.

i like free money.

Default Buying movies first is not stuiped

I got a $100 from Amazon and I'm saving it towards a Blu Player when the prices come down. But if they have some Bogos with the movies I want I'll use it towards that.

So, basically, Amazon told me I am elegible for the $50 refund, BUT if I chose to return the item to them (the xbox 360 hd dvd unit), they'd refund me 80% of the original buying price.

Now, you can stop reading, I'm shure you already know what I did

I went out and bought another Xbox HD DVD unit at $49.99 (give or take, I'm in Mexico), and sent this one for the 80% refund. I'm getting $127 in the next 2 weeks, or as soon as they receive my item.

Tee-hee!

In short, you could say my HD DVD player costed around $80 bucks, half of the initial buying price. And been enjoying it since december. And I have a new unit. And a repeated movie: Batman Begins - they give out that one here instead of King Kong.

Amazon 4E.
