Default 'Channels' - High-Def Digest Review

Peter's review of 'Channels' has been posted. He says that despite good intentions, the movie is terrible. As for this HD DVD, the video and audio are passable considering the quality of the source, the skimpy extras involve Ed Asner being interviewed as his cat attacks the camera. This one isn't even a rental.

Thanks for the warning, but I already rented it.

Peter's review was more entertaining than the film.

Yeah, wow. That's definitely the worst I've seen. Thanks for the heads up, I'll avoid this one like the plague.

I was disappointed this wasn't the old channels thread, b/c i had an identical opion of the film which i expressed when this first came out. I dare anyone to sit through this movie. It was one of the most excruiating expierences of my life.

I tried to watch this, made it about 15 minutes in before turning it off. Horrible movie. The sound track kept looping and was just annoying. Do your self a favor and don't watch this.

Ed Asner's in this? Wow. He deserves better than this. I always liked Ed Asner. I'll be skipping this one though. Thanks for the heads-up Peter.

I rented this from Netflix (back when they still bought HD DVD's) when it first came out. Ouch! I had to double check and make sure I was playing a HD DVD not a poorly upconverted SD DVD. Yeah, the movie was painful, too.

I panned it on AVS way back when.

There is one on ebay for $8 + shipping, but the movie is complete garbage. It's almost in the category of Tommy Wiseau's "The Room" without the hilarity.
