Default 'Justice League: The New Frontier' - High-Def Digest Review

Kenneth's review of 'Justice League: The New Frontier' has been posted. He enjoyed this animated version of the graphic novel, and says this HD DVD features plenty of thrilling animated action that captures the essence of the characters. It also features a striking video transfer, a great TrueHD audio track, and a wealth of supplements that are worth the cost of admission alone. Comic fans should definitely consider picking this one up.

I have a blind buy order in for this at Amazon. I bought the standard DVD version in the deluxe package after reading reviews of the Blu-ray product and figuring that the HD DVD side would be equivalent. Only bought the DVD to get the Green Lantern figurine that Buy More (Best Buy) was offering. Sold that DVD to get the $$ to get the HD DVD (and kept the special packaging and figurine)

We've been waiting for this for a while now - trying to explain to my son why we had to wait three weeks after the DVD release to get the HD-DVD version wasn't fun. I don't know why Warner is doing that

Anyway, I finally picked up my HD-DVD version yesterday at Fry's (Best Buys in Austin aren't getting any new HD-DVD releases) and we'll be watching it this weekend. I was glad to read the picture was worth waiting for the HD-DVD version instead of picking up the regular DVD when it came out.

I'm boycotting Warner releases until they start utilizing the full 50GB BD discs. Their BD release of JL was obviously under-encoded to ensure that it would also fit on the 30GB HD-DVD. As many have stated, the PQ of JL is great but not as good as the Simpsons Movie for example.

Are you serious? I am assuming sarcasm.

Is the Flash featured well in this film? Currently my fav DC comic character and thinking of picking this up but would like to know how he is treated. And which version is it, Barry Allen or Wally West's Flash?

It was Barry Allen in the movie. Also, his role isn't HUGE but Neil Patrick Harris did an awesome job as Flash. For what little time he's in the movie, he is excellent. I strongly recommend picking it up, even though the movie was short.

I actually enjoyed the supplemental offerings much more than the main movie. The additional bonus episodes are fantastic.

I'm not a big fan of DC Comics, but this movie looks to be worth getting. I just like to have a cartoon movie on my hd dvd collection.

Default Justice League

I was lucky enough to've gotten a screening copy with the 1st 20 minutes of the film and already being a fan of the original source material let me just say WOW!!! This is one of the closest adaptions from comic to film that I've ever seen and it transfers over nicely! The animation is great, though maybe not quite as crisp as the Superman
