Default 'Fletch' - High-Def Digest Review

Peter's review of 'Fletch' has been posted. He had never see the film before, but as a new viewer he felt it seems a bit dated. This HD DVD has nice video, somewhat harsh audio, and terrible supplements. This one is for 'Fletch' fans.

Movies like these doesn't deserve a HD or Blu-ray release.

Instead of releasing something useful, they release this POS.

That is def just your opinion about this movie. I think this is a Great classic Chevy Chase film. Have been waiting quite a while for this on HD DVD, as even the regular DVD had been out of print for many years, and was just finally re released in 2006 with the Jane Doe Edition. So this may be a rare title because of HD DVD being almost finished.

I have ordered it from Amazon but it doesn't seem to have shipped yet. I better get my copy, can't wait!

Jim Swarthow!

This is a great movie! I feel Peter just missed it with this one. Cannot speak of the PQ & AQ , but it is a funny movie that can be watched again, and gain, and again. Can't say that about a lot of movies. Especially movies now a day's. (i.e. Comedies)

don't rag on a classic... especially with a meh movie like contact as your avatar...

i wish the scores for pq/aq were a bit better, but considering the source material and the studio i didn't have much hope for better...

at least it looks as if it's better than christmas vacation... lol

a great movie and truly a comedy classic from when Chevy was still at the top of his game...

Fletch is a classic character and in my opinion one of the most re-watchable comedies. I have seen it many times and plan on getting the release. It is $10 at Best Buy.

Yeah, I agree...Peter missed it on this one. IMHO, "Fletch" kills "Vacation." Whenever Fletch is on TV and I happen to flip to it, I watch the entire thing. While I can think of some other titles that deserve to be released on an HD format over Fletch, I'm happy nonetheless. I'm sure it looks better than I have ever seen it. For those that have never seen it, it's EASILY a blind buy. I quote this movie just about more than any other film, save for the Big Lebowski.

BJD,

Did Best Buy have it in stock? I looked all over and the 2 by my house didn't have it. Picked it up at Deep Discount for $12 shipped.

Nobody give a shit about having this on high def. There's no benefit of having this on high definition if people already own a dvd version.

Default Just Charge it to the Umbrella?

Is that a misprint on the box or what?

Waiter: Excuse me, Seņor. You are a member of the club?
Fletch: No, I'm not, I'm with the Underhills.
Waiter: They are left, Seņor.
Fletch: It's all right, they'll be back. He went out for his urinalysis.
Waiter: Would you like some drinks, Seņor, while you wait? I will put it on the Underhills' bill.
Fletch: Yes, very good. I'll have a Bloody Mary and a steak sandwich and... a steak sandwich, please.

And when did Fletch visit a pig farm?

Can anyone who has actually seen this HD version help me out?

to you maybe not... but to some people, it's a great release...

I honestly don't like SD DVD anymore, and would gladly pay $10-15 for this release...
