Being that it's getting released on May 6th. the HD DVD should hit on the 26th or 27th of May, which is before the June 1st cut-off.

I think the cut off date goes a little bit into June now. Warner said they were adding 3 addtional weeks to their original cut off of June 1st.

So, assuming this comes to pass (and I can't imagine Warners announcing a title at this point, releasing artwork, and then cancelling), it means Warners is not only honoring their release schedule, but actually ADDING movies. Those worthless whores at Paramount should take a lesson.

Sad but true. (Sorry, edited for language)

Its the ultimate bitter-sweet irony, Warner kills HD DVD but actually turns out to be the greatest studio supporter in the end.

Yep, truly unfortunate, having to go through 2 hardware upgrades to get the finished product (and at what price) yet the faithful will have u believe that br really is the best solution. Maybe one day when br is able to produce 1080p++ images and Dolby TrueHD-DTS-HD MA MAXXX sound I will be convinced but to celebrate an unfinished, expensive product just doesnt sit well with me. Plus I am anti-rootkit, you never know what Sony has in store for those unsuspecting br users.......

Well, the LAST studio supporter, anyway. Although they did release a lot of great HD DVD titles which I spitefully hope take years to migrate to BD.

I didn't LOVE "PS," but I will probably buy it just to support the format. I want to show Paramount how much money they left on the table by canceling releases.

I think whats most interesting is that the HD DVD release is not a combo disc. Especially seeing as how this is a new day-and-date releease. If only Warner would of done this with all their new HD DVD releases. They might of gotten more money from me!

I think they could well be the greatest, The Matrix alone for me was worth the player expense. But they also had a few releases that took advantage of HD DVD's features like 300 and Batman Begins. Universal had some excellent releases as well, like Heroes. Paramount's standout releases for me are Transformers and Beowulf. Overall though, for sheer movies released I still think Warner holds the top spot.

Nevertheless, I wont be getting this, doesnt interest me.

Warner DID have some fantastic releases (although it was largely Universal titles that swayed me to HD DVD). Their decision to drop HD DVD support is a pretty big black mark against them in my book. But I do give them credit for at least trying to exit the market with some class and not doing Paramount's completely classless cut-and-run.
