Default 'Meet the Parents' - High-Def Digest Review

Somehow this one slipped through the cracks when it was first released on HD DVD back in November, but Peter's review of 'Meet the Parents' is finally up. Most of us are familiar with the funny, sometimes uncomfortable comedy itself. As an HD DVD release, Peter says this one's strong, with a simple but solid transfer, good-enough audio, and more extras than you can shake a stick at...

This is one of my favourite comedies of the past decade. I felt physically drained after ssing it in theatres because I had laughed so incredibly hard. Great to hear the picture quality is good, since it'll be one I'll be picking up eventually.

One of the movies I want to come to Blu-Ray...

This movie is just hilarious! I love it. I've seen it at least 10 times...

this is a movie where everyone can say that they enjoyed it more than most comedies in a long time. the only thing for me is that this movie is one of the comedy movies that i have seen so many times on dvd and on tv that i just dont feel the need to buy it on hd dvd. but nevertheless, absolutley great and funny movie and good to see that it got a good transfer.

just opened it after having it for 2 months..and I got to say the PQ isnt that great! 4 stars?? Definitly not! And the movie itself is great,, but has lost its laugh a tad since I first saw it.

Movie: 3.5/5. (would have been 4/5 back then)
PQ: 3/5 (very drab,, its seems like an aeroma of white light around the picture)
audio: 3/5
Overall: 3/5. (sadly)

Default Meet the Parents HD-DVD

I've had this title for quite a while, and dragged it off the shelf the other night for viewing. Although this is no demo high def title, I appreciated the improved pq offered by the HD-DVD version. And the movie is terrific. An excellent bargain HD-DVD purchase, if you come across one.
"Meet The Fockers" is next on my HD-DVD view list - another HD-DVD release that has not found its way to blu-ray yet.

I watched this a few nights ago and love it, especially De Niro's character. Too bad Meet the Fockers wasn't nearly as great.

So many great lines in this film.

Just watched 'Meet the Fockers' again as I was able to pick it up on the cheap. Not only is it a great looking film, it also is much funnier than I remember.
